Just about everybody who gets a 10/22 realizes at one time or another that a lot can be done to it to make it that much better. One of the first things that is usually done is the trigger then changing the barrel to some sort of aftermarket bull barrel. With the barrel change comes the need for a new stock as the factory sporter will not allow the bull barrel or will it? Here are some pics of the factory stock which I opened up the barrel channel, pillar bedded, and flatened out the forend to make it a lot more stable on the bags when bench shooting. I just primed with automotive primer, painted with CT Duplicolor, and clearcoated with CT Duplicolor clear. I think it turned out okay.
The only thing I need to do is throw the black Bushnell out and black base and rings and get some silver base and rings so I can install my silver Weaver T-36X.
