Pics of new XCR stock, and XCR-M DMR *Video Added*

C'mon Kevin, everything is stolen these days. Why, the fax machine is nothing but a waffle iron with a phone attached.

I'm not saying stolen or anything bad, but just pointing out it has several similaritys with prior designs, so while a cool addition to the XCR, should not be hailed as a revolutionary items gifted from the gods.

Haters gonna hate...

You guys have your restricted AR-15s...go enjoy those at the range...soon I will be enjoying hunting with the new XCR-M, shooting it wherever I please and its in a real caliber

...I guess I know why so many people are grumpy about it!!! :)

That's what popped into my head. That and it looks 100x better than the original stock.

If you go to the XCR web page and keep clicking on the XCR-L picture the very last one looks like the 18.5 version. That’s what it looks like to me anyways. . . If it is the 18.5 lets hope the ship them our way. . . .

Stop lying to yourself...

I own both a XCR-L and a RFB, and in my opinion (I do love both) the RFB beats the xcr out (Compactness and weight distribution).

Beautiful stock by the way

Agree on both counts....
I had a shorter barrel cobbled up for the XCR (7.62X39) and the weight distribution disparity between the two is narrowed.
I like them both, and won't be flogging either in the near future.....

Exactly...

Exactly what?

XM8:
Adjustable cheek piece? No
Folding stock that locks at the hinge? No
Recessed button to adjust length of pull? No
Metal construction? No

Just so I understand what you are saying "exactly" to, what do you think the Xm8 stock has in common with the Robarm stock?

Take a moment and research how the XM8 stock actually works.

How about accuracy and reliability? These are a couple of guns I am considering for my first black rifle.

Last week with my XCR-L with my upper in 6.8SPC installed I was doing 3 shot 1 1/2" - 2" groups @ 230 yards my loads are 30gr H322/95gr TTSX @ 2825fps scope is a Leupold VX111 4.5-14X40mm 30mm tube side focus Varmint reticle.

Mag's = XCR-L 10 round 7.62X39 pistol mags purchased from Wolverine that hold 11 6.8SPC rounds I had no issues with these mags excellent reliablity ok there is one issue with these mags with 11 rounds in them they will not seat with a closed bolt.

I then swapped over to my 223 upper it has an older Leupold Vari X 11 4-12X40mm AO 1" tube LR reticle was plinking at 1 1/2" - 2" leaves on the bank behind the target berm = appr 240 - 250 yards it was great fun due to the low recoil of my 40gr V-Max @ 3200fps loads watching the leaves jump when I hit them and was using LAR 15 10 round pistol mags once again with excellent reliablity.

I'd say with the right loads these guns are accurate...

Very cool. With it in .260Rem I might have to pick one up. What kind of barrel profile/weight are we looking at?

Also, what are the chances of getting Robarm to sell barrel extensions so we can get get custom contours and chamberings?

Great looking stock, now how hard is it gonna be to get it exported from our brothers and sisters down south so we can play with it?

That depends on the USA federal government. Even if Robarm wanted to have the stock manufactured in Canada, there are regulations regarding the exportation of the stock's intellectual properties to a foreign party.

I know Robarm is considering a couple of solutions for our friends in the north.

Based of my XCR-L and a couple of other ones that I've shot :
  • Reliability is very good but not AR15 level,
  • Cost is high but still reasonnable considering what you get,
  • Trigger is excellent and only a match AR15 trigger or equivalent can beat it,
  • Accuracy with Hornady 60gr TAP-FDP and PMC M193 has to be seen to be believed...

In short, I'm extremely satisfied with my 223 XCR-L and will get a 308 XCR-M as soon as I have the money!

There are better rifles but they're either restricted (some AR10 and AR15 variants), prohibited (no point discussing these) or simply too expensive (Swiss Arms Green Rifles).

Alex

I agree with your points except the price. I don't think it's a $2400 rifle just because it's non-restricted, particularly when it doesn't match the reliability of the AR15.

I'm curious to see how the XCR-M is received when it finally comes across the border.

I'm curious as to where you guys get this "doesn't match the reliability of an AR" comment from as far as I am concerned it is a load of spewing without a basis to it...

Wolverine Supplies has stated several different times now that the new stock will not be coming here due to US export laws prohibiting folding stocks from being exported.

He has also stated that they are working on a solution with RA so we can get this stock someday.

Another pic of the XCR-M :)
