Those things holding the shells down the side of the gun, what are they?

I'm planning on getting an 870 for hunting, and that looks like an easy to way carry shells rather than in pockets.

ATR, did you change over to a Remington extractor? I also got a Remington foreend tube assembly. Both seemed to work abit smoother.
