Think you should mimic the original 18.5" barrel with an A2 flash hider. Keep it around .750" under the handguards to increase rigidity yet keep the weight down. Do this and you'll have the coolest looking deer rifle around.
ive been so busy ive barely got time to eat anything but i did manage to get all i need for the conversion.
working on the barrel at the moment but i am short some brass or loaded rounds so if anybody has a round to spare id appreciate it.
more to come when im closer to completion
ordered 100 lapua cases and a die set today as well as some lapua scenar's so im close to having all that i need.
this build is second to my cz858 in 6.5 grendel which is half done, barrel is turned and short chambered but now im waiting for my brass and bullets.
should be starting an ar180b in 204 ruger and an sks in 6.5 grendel in a couple of weeks so busy busy for me for the next month or so.
Hi Bluestratus: Do you do work on members ar180b's as well or do you just build and sell? I have 2 new coming and want to know if I can get the muzzle brake machined off one and a flash hider installed and still remain non restricted? If so How Much? Thanks
got my brass and bullets couple days ago.
this evening is first test fire of my cz858 in 6.5 grendel damn im excited
if all goes well then moving on up to the 180b in 6.5
i think i need a scope though as i hate precision shooting with irons
more to follow.
ok test fired it last sunday and im happy, didnt measure the group but 2nd shot in same hole as first and third shot half covering first hole, id say that was decent.
