Pictorial essay...

Very nice pics ,no doubt about that !!

How I would love a Yugo to round out my collection.I caught the SKS bug back when all there was around in good supply was the Chinese version. After 7 of those the Russians came to town and loaded up on those too.

.......but the Yugo ,that would be nice.

Well, the Yugo did come from Winnipeg. It sat in a safe for almost 20 years. As close to a perfect example that I have ever seen. So don't despair, there are some out there. And some closer than you think.

Oh blimey ! I remember going to Cabelas in East Grand Forks and Home of Economy in N.Dakota back in 2005-08 and seeing racks of Yugos...and I mean plenty of them !Of course, no Chines or Russians.

Indeed, I`ll find one yet.

Great photos, and nice rifles! You know...I'm VERY new to SKSs...and I only got my first one about a month back. (1954 Russian, birch stock) I only learned about the YUGOs and like the extra length, the novelty factor, etc....but BOY are they pricey. Too bad. I'd like one as a shooter, and have zero desire to buy it as a collector. Otherwise...I'd be searching for a crate of 10 of them. :(

Oh well...late to the party I guess.
