Combination of single shots and repeaters.Part of the group of 22

Single shots include Ballard Kentucky 1/2 stock in 44 long,Remington Rolling Block in 7X57,1869 Springfield 50-70,Sharps Borchardt 45-70,Remington Roller in 45-70,Snider 577-450,Mausers, Enfields,M14 and an SKS
We do this once a month the course of fire varies on 25 shots but yesterday included 5 shots off hand at 100yrds,5 shots off hand at 75 yards and 5 shots supported,5 shots off hand at 50 yards and 5 shots supported. Nice day had 22 participants and 3 relays.

The military shoot is the 3rd Saturday of every month at 9:30 Parksville rifle Range on Chattell Rd (by the weigh scale South end of Parksville ((Vacouver Island))
All are welcome restricted to military rifles of any country and any era (sportered rifles also welcome) One of the shooters is recovering from shoulder surgery and used my Cooey full wood trainer.Course of fire varies up to 100yrds and 10 positions per relay.If it is crappy weather all shots are from the covered firing point.Once every so many months we have a medal round 100yrds benched with spotting scopes allowed.Cost for the round is $5.00 and coffee and donuts provided.Good guys and good laughs.

A sporterized rifle has to be a military caliber however. Wish I could find a army or militia that used 38-55 so I could shoot my trapdoor :>) Also since the event is scored, you get an extra 5 points for wearing a battle helmet and another 5 points for a bayonet attached to your gun. As others have said, a lot of fun.

BTW...Pancho is shooting a Remington M1867 (7 x 57)
and I sometimes lead the charge with cannon fire.

Ponchos Remington Roller has the matching serial number bayonet to go with it.But then so does Al Flipo's 1935 Brazilian Mauser but the bullets are so small.
I on the other hand can score my target from 50yrds away (50-70)Scorer keeps asking if I am throwing rocks at my target.
