It's a kinder and gentler way to do it. Personally, I think he's gone a bit too far, but it's the look he wanted, and who am I to argue? He's obviously had some good experience with the airbrush.

the stock looks just perfect. I agree that the metal part needs a bit more finesse, but it does look good none the less. maybe with some hand oil and sweat that will darken up too. I find finger prints frig stuff up, so maybe they can do some good.
 
thx everyone. on the body at some place hard sanding was needed to remove all these ugly name inscription arround the receiver..... anyway i ll tried to do my best...
