Hi,

Do any of you fellows have a picture of a rifle equipped with the "Navy" style sight; installed on a standard length barrel? I'd like to see pictures of the whole rifle if possible.

I realize that the main reason I've been getting so interested in having the "SOCOM treatment" done to my M305 is because of how cool I think the Navy sights and other style flash hiders look on these rifles. :)

Thanks, Jeff/1911.

Here's the guy that started it all, Ron SMith

These are the two Gas lock options, GLFS and Dovetail which comes in two heights, one for 22 inch and one for the 18.

And one last one, top is a norc M14A1 config, #2 is Sage Chop-mod, Kreiger DMR/TRW bolt, #3 is Sage (full length) Crazy Horse/TRW bolt, #4 Sage Chop-mod, TRW cut to 18 3/4, early polytech/SA Bolt, #5 Criterion 18.5/norc #6 Kreiger heavy/trw bolt/norc #7 SMith Crazy Horse, Win bolt/norc

Standard length barrels:

18.75" Shorty:

Shorty with Smith Fake Airsoft Can:

Keep in mind that Norc barrels have metric threads and the Smith Navy Sight and DC Vortex are SAE threads.

I hear that Smith may do a run of Metric navy sights........

SKBY.

Just a thought - if a "Navy" sight is installed on a standard barrel, one of the things achieved is a shorter sight radius, which does nothing to enhance shooting properties. Works very well if the barrel is shortened though, and is about the only easy way of installing a front sight.

It means you can't install a navy sight that was built for USGI barrels. There is a version available up here that is correctly threaded for the norc M305.

There is a Canadian version that is threaded metric.......

So is it a big secret? :D Or can you tell us who carries it, how much and where to order it?

Thanks.

Buddy's name is Rooster 33, you may also try Jeff at Valley Guns, he may have a few in stock.

Except, as I understand it, from the forums, no one can get hold of Rooster, if you do, you'll wait forever for your parts. So that's not an option. Besides they say he doesn't even have a computer anymore, according to people here, that know him.
