How is it compared to your Korth JP? You should do a side by side comparo with detailed pics of both.

No comparaison, Korth and SR25 KAC are now living in NH.
Do you remember how much hits i took when i bought my expensive Nemesis, i never do the same error twice.
Nothing personal Harry:)

I had one also years ago when I was shooting PPC. Mine was a 2 1/2", nice gun. I had 2.5" M19, 3" M625, 4" M27, 6" 686 with underlug weight and all the other goodies for PPC and my 6" M28 HIGHWAY PATROLMAN. Now I just have my M28, Got into cowboy shooting and sold all my PPC stuff. Kinda got caught with my pants down tho because when the prohib law came in I did not have a shorter barrelled gun left. i have been looking at the new 4.2" M19 & 66 tho to have another .357/.38, but also really like the new Ruger SP101 MATCH TARGET. haven't decided yet. Out of the guns I sold that 3" M625(45ACP) with round butt and unfluted cylinder is the one I regret selling the most altho that 2.5" M19 WAS ALSO VERY NICE. The stupid things you do!

Too bad you had not picked up a piece of crap prohib in order to keep your 12.6 status. There was an outift in Alberta selling them for around $35 at the time.

Don't feel bad though since there are many out there like you, and that was exactly what the Libs/bureaucrats were hoping for......the b*stards.

I hung onto my prohib handguns but sold some after the law passed, and have now actually added back way more than I sold.....go figure???

I have my father's 6" Model 19 which was purchased new around 1980 if memory serves.

Recently picked up a mint Mod 27-3 6" in the box with paperwork......I wanted it in the collection and screw the Libs.......come take it from me!

That 2.5" M19/66 is the main reason I wish had the 12.6. The 3" M13 and M629, and Sig P230/2 are close behind.

Next time i am in New Hampshire i will go and order a S&W Model 19 Carry Comp 3 from my LGS, very impress by the K frame

Where's the gun ####?

I have pictures of both my 69 and my 19, the big difference is the cylinder on the 19 it is .125 (1/8) thinner, grip also make a difference, the 69 is a little beefier.

For all the other dimension , they are the same, caliper proven.

Let the pictures tell the story.

From my Lyman, i checked the trigger weight on my Smiths also checked my Ruger New Blackhawk 357 mag SAA.

Each was calculated 5 times in single action.
All triggers were crisp with no take and no overtravel.

Model 19 average 4.1 pounds
Model 69 average 3.8 pounds
Ruger NBH SAA average 3.7 pounds

The K frame is impressive, one of our dealer have the Model 48 6 inch in 22 mag, i will bring another K frame to the stable.:)

The "new" model 19 has MIM parts, a tube barrel affixed to the frame with a cheesy barrel shroud, but nevertheless, its a "K" frame. S&W did bring it back so there must be demand, the same demand that Colt ignores.

The 69 is based on the "L" frame but only 5 shots as there is not enough cylinder material for 6. While they appear the same, they are not dimensionally the same, except both accept the same grip size.
