just bought a pietta 1860 army revolver, but it didnt come with instruction book, and i need to know what size of percussion caps i need and also recommended grain size for my powder, and also ball size, any info is greatly appreciated.i have tried searching the internet for the manual with no luck,so if anyone knows where i could get a manual that would be great.

Try a #11 cap if it isn't tight enough pinch it between thumb and forefinger until it is oval, FFFG black powder 24 grains to start..the balls should be .454' use some vegetable shortening mixed with bee's wax (about 8 parts shortening to 1 part bee's wax) to cap the loaded chambers to prevent chainfires also make sure the caps don't come off the loaded chambers due to recoil this could also cause a chainfire. If you use a lubed wad over the powder the goop over the chamber may not be required.
The 1860 Army is a great gun and historically significant.
