Pietta New Model Army .44

I just got this gun, don't know much about it, not even sure if I'm interested in keeping it, any advice on where to look up some info on it, or what it might be worth? It's in Good to VG condition.

Originally produced by Remington¹ from 1863 to 1875, the 1858 New Model Army was a technologically advanced design which incorporated such features as a ‘closed top’ frame (now standard on nearly all modern revolvers). Only the venerable Colt 1860 Army revolver saw more use than the New Model Army as an issue sidearm in the Civil War, with over 100,000 model 1858 revolvers purchased for military use during the War Between the States. When the market dominance of Colt at the time is taken into account (due in no small part to the prevalence of earlier military-oriented Colt designs such as the 1851 Navy) the popularity of the 1858 New Model Army speaks volumes about its avant garde design.

Considering you can buy a new one from Marstar for about $350, not more than that. Pietta has made these for a long time - quality varies, condition counts. Could be worth as little as $150 in good condition.

Is it brass or steel? Brass guns are less desirable than steel because of the perception that they are weaker. 150.00 to 250.00, depending on condition.
