I just got a pietta pps50 and I can't get the action to stay open is this the way that this rifle is or I just don't know how to do it, at my local range all rifles require to have the action open while the range is not live, also leaving the action open will make for a lot easier cleaning. If anybody knows how this works please let me know

Have any of you had the problem of your gun rattling loose?. The allen key bolt on the bottom of the barrel gets worked loose from the bolt face smacking into the breech face all the time.

The front sight would come loose as well after a box or so and wobble all over the place. I was not impressed.

My front sight did come loose and I also have the receiver plug unscrew itself regularily. No problems with the allen head bolt for me.

I was at EESA open house and was working at rimfire station. I do recall they were using plastic mags and they held the bolt open. The guns worked great.

I just bought this gun and the new plastic mag has an enlarged follower so when its empty it holds the bolt open. Not entirely impressed with this gun. Cheap built, flat head screws are stupid and everything rattles loose. Also just noticed last night that one of the screws that holds the front sight decided to break right in half. Only shot about 500rnds so far too. The use of flat head screws to retain the receive pins in place is also stupid. A very fine thread is used. Again very stupid due to the fact you have to take those pins out to clean it. Taken apart 4 times and the flat slots are pretty much worn away. Anyone know where to source new screws for this thing?
