Pietta PPS-50 Wildcat Tactical .22LR Rifles IN STOCK

Had a lot of issues with this at first , there's a break in period for sure but then it turned into a nice little shooter , seemed to get a lot of lead left in the barrel , I think it's because of the 50 round drum heating the barrel up ? Now it's dead on and a whole lot of fun and having the 50 round drum on it makes me feel like Al Capone !

I recently bought a new Pietta PPS-50, wooden stock and 30 round mag...and today was the first range test.

I started with Stingers: cycled well, very loud, surprisingly, not that accurate - and I worried it was the rifle somehow! Probably just me, not used to the short length (??)

But then I tried Blazers: cycled without a hitch, groups closed up tight, and smile returned!

Then I tried Fed bulk: Cycled perfectly, not a hitch, groups fine.

Then, determined to find something it wouldn't eat, I tried Winchester hollow point: cycled fine, not a single misfire.

Finally, I had some Thunderbolts in my ammo case: Cycled perfectly, and once again, this is an accurate rifle for what it is.

I guess it's the drum mags that are giving it all the problems. I did not have a single failure.

I cannot figure out why I was so bad with the 1650 fps Stingers, unless the shorter barrel just doesn't impart enough spin to stabilize the projectile??

The manual has a disclaimer "do not use with ammo under 1300 fps, or failures may occur".

Lol, every ONE of those rounds, except the Stingers, is under 1300fps...not by much, but that's a pretty good "cover your butt" disclaimer, IMHO!

I really love this rifle!

I know this post is old but do you still have any in stock the website doesn't have them listed anymore and if so how much?

I don't presume to speak for them but I've noticed Wanstalls is usually pretty good about cleaning up their website when a product is out of stock. That said, the staff there is awesome so I'd try contacting them directly if you haven't already. I'm sure they'll be happy to track one down for you.
