I've got a fondness for Civil War carbines. The last one I bought was an ERMA Gallagher that I had relined to .50 calibre. Now I can shoot the same 375/450 gr bullets that I use in my Shiloh 50-70's and .50 percussion Sharps rifles and carbines.
Reviews on the net are mixed, some happy with the Smiths right out of the box, others not. One video showed a guy shooting offhand, cleaning on a rack of clay birds at 50 yds.
Anyone got any first hand experience with these Smith repro carbines?
