Saw one of these at the range and played abit with it last wk..
The timing was stupid good. Enough to make me think what the hell with all the uberti's Ive looked at.
Your thoughts are welcome.

I bought my first Pietta in .357 from the EE here for a price that was decent enough that I figured I'd at least get back most of what I paid.

The gun that arrived a few days later was lovely. The level of finish on both the outside and inside was enough to make me believe that Italian working folk really do care. And like you I found it to be very nicely in timing with no noticable play.

It was enough to encourage me to buy a second Pietta to complete the CAS pair for my gunslinging efforts where there isn't enough time to deal with black powder or when it's raining and the extra moisture makes working with loose black powder guns just too much of a pain.

My second Pietta from Marstar was equally up to the standards of the first for appearance both externally and internally. But while I had mine apart I polished the trigger action in an artificial aging process to speed things along. I must have done my work just right because my newer pistol came from the process with the same smooth and light trigger pull as the used gun which I liked so much.

My C&B guns are Uberti but to tell the truth I feel that my Piettas are the equal in every way to the Uberti guns for finish and accuracy of the internal parts. They really are that good and I would not hesitate to buy another.... which may not be far away. I've got my eye on one of the Colt 1860 or 1861 open top guns.
