you have to be very carfull around were i live as a lot of guys raise homimg pigeons that can be worth a lot of money . ask before you shoot them DUTCH

I went to a pheasant/grouse/pigeon shoot in January. We had 10 guys and they had 500 pheasants, 200 grouse and 300 pigeons + 4 guys with retrievers for us. I think we got 60% of the birds. Got some frozen pigeon breasts in the freezer - need to do up some pigeon pie

you guys shot 600 birds? Who packed your ammo?
That's an amazing amount of shooting for one day.

Those are released birds, typically pigeons are used because they are cheap. I know a few people who trap and sell pigeons to "preserves". Chances are the fellow was not shooting grouse either. I am not aware of anyone in Canada raising any sort of grouse, maybe chukars or huns but not our native grouse.
