I'm going to be finishing up a Boyds target varminter laminate stock for my savage long action rifle. What would be a good recipe for accuracy in terms of pillars and glass bedding? Aluminum or brass pillars and glass bed the recoil lug? Can anyone steer me towards a good article on proper setup of pillars? What areas to glass bed, and what areas not to glass bed on a savage action with detachable box mag?

I glass bed the support area around the action screws. I just look for a broad area that isn't complicated in shape, and the recoil lug. I wet mold it all in. I don't pillar bed with metal, seems like a difficult method to get good consistant engagement with compared to glass. I can see the advantage with all the injection molded stocks, or stocks where the action is pulled a lot, it obviously works great but I think epoxy works fine for me.
