Question for F or bench shooters:
In a laminate wood stock, does a bedding block to support full lenght of the action inserted in the stock makes a rifle more accurate than just pillars.
I know how to and have all reqired tooling, but I just dont want to spend time on something if its not any better than something else more simple.
So I would like comments from ones who used both and could compare.

I will be using a stiller tac338 single shot with a 32" idaho contour.
The barrel is quite heavy.

Tanks.

It makes no difference when they are shooting well, obviously. On a lam stock I would use a bedding block but not all blocks are equal. Any wood stock will change with humidity so a block makes sense. What make of block do you have in mind?

finaly done with the built and went with a block

I am still working on a load, but for now it looks very good

Looks like you didn't need our help at all.

Just for SA I used pillars and bed on my Rem 700 CDL worked out nicely.

I used a 1 3/8 ballmill

if I dont drop it, it will probably last for life so I see it more like an investment than an expense.

check KBC, Travers or Smith industries flyers for sales. sometimes it realy Worth it.
