Pimp out my M10???

Seriously? Seems like the new guy is getting a hard time. I'll have to watch what I say I guess, M70 wouldn't have been a big mystery would it? Clearly outsiders are not welcome here, upgrade is what I meant but not sure that would have worked either. Thanks for laying out the welcome mat guys.

Not unusual to stiffen up the forend to remove flex. Epoxying in arrow shafts is one method.
Make sure the bedding is good.
Tune the trigger.
Install a good optic.
Shoot it.

Thanks, the stock is pretty flimsy, although I haven't searched hard, I haven't found one aftermarket. It is pillar bedded from the factory but that's the extent of it. I have a Burris signature 8-32x40 on it for glass.
It does shoot really well, as I said I saw on another thread there is lots that can be done to upgrade. A solid stock would be where I would probably start.

Try the stiffening trick first, unless you want a stock that has better ergonomics. Nice scope.
Are you using a bipod? They can be very useful for prone or bench range work.
What caliber?

No bi-pod, mechanical front rest and a sandbag in the rear. It's a .243 and mainly just a bench rifle, it's a little soggy to carry all day and the woods are pretty thick for the scope I have on it.

Sorry you asked a question and i had no idea what an M10 is. I am not up on all the savage models. To me the numbers are too similar and they all look very similar. Have fun with it

Welcome to CGN!
You'll toughen up along the way amd learn a ton of stuff; this place is bursting at the seams with knowledge and know how.

Cheers
