Pimped SR-22R's

I learned something today, the barrel block is plastic...which doesn't exactly fair well in a 400 degree oven...so i now have a free float barrel!

Took a few pieces into work today and powder coated them

Now just waiting to do the mags and thread cover on the barrel

What's the story behind the red color? Looks good, I think if you did the buffer tube red it would look better ... Just a thought ;)

Thanks for the input I'll have to think about that....not much story behind the red it's just my color....I've done parts of my car, my BMX, and thought I would follow suit with my gun.

I really like the lower one on your last pick! It's exactly want I want to do with a SR-22. Could you please identified the parts you added and where they can be bought (front rails kit, mag, grips and sights) ?

Really cool looking gun ! And plus it can be used for small game hunting !

Thanks

Hows she shoot? :D

Don't know yet .. I just got it together and haven't stopped drooling on it yet ;)

Going to make some time tomorrow afternoon to get out and put a couple hundred rounds down the pipe ... we'll see how it performs, and hoping it's good. I was pleasantly surprised that the stainless barrel and brake weighed roughly the same (a tad heavier) than the OEM ruger 16" barrel.

And I need an excuse to go site it in anyways

very classy SR22 build, great job. you nailed the perfect blend of tactical and practical, i especially love the A2 stock, the off set BUIS and the AFG1, who am i kidding i love it all. i finally got my hands on a first gen afg and wow does it ever feel better than the afg2
