Pimped SR-22R's

When I looked at mine as far as I can see there were no holes on the buffer tube for the adjustable stock. I don't really want to replace it coz its pretty solid in there and I dont have a castle nut tool. Can anyone with a non retractable sr-22 check if there's any visible hole on the buffer tube?
Ill probably take out the stud if I can since I want it to look clean when the grip pod and rail covers go in.
These look so good! I just picked up a SR22 off of EE last week. It came with a scope (Tasco) on it, which I may change out for a red dot optic I have (Bushnell).
I just ordered a Magpul AFG1 and ASAP sling adaptor. Waiting for the new Promag 9-22 magazine to be available as well...
I have removed the front sling stud and the rear sling loop.
Even when I am finished, I am not sure I would consider it "pimped", functional and to my liking though.
I am trying to keep the rifle relatively light, as my 12 year old will use it from time to time.

Its a 8" Dlask barrel with XB5 muzzle brake inside of a cut down Hogue stock. The rail started life as a UTG quad rail that was shortened, some custom work had to done there because I cut off the part that actually attaches it together.

I gotta say, out of all the 10/22 conversions I've seen, that is by far the most "original", I really like it man, love the no sling either.
We used to get in so much **** during training that we had our slings taken away as punishment, so I'm not really used to using them anymore ( I got deep enough pockets
)

I have one of those non adjustable stocks. I grounded out the pin on the stock and I'm stumped. The buffer tube as suspected only has one hole and to add insult to injury it is some sort of extended type (a couple of inches sticking out if the stock is fully collapsed). I was thinking of just drilling the holes to make use of the milspec tube but since it looks like it is extended I might need to replace the whole thing.

Yes, they are a step above the Mossberg 715. Though the 715 is accurate and reliable, just the feel of the plastic molded stock, makes it feel like a cheep Chinese dollar store water gun.
The Ruger SR-22 is pretty much ALL metal (though this makes it a tad on the heavy side), besides the stock and pistol grip. Built around a trusty 10/22 action and 16.5'' heavy barrel. Not sure where you will be able to find one, there seems to still be a shortage of Ruger products lately. You could try the EE perhaps?

WOW. That is one very awesome looking SR-22! The mag looks great, but if it works as well as the five I had with my Marauder, "looks" would be about it! Great looking build!

The original mag that came with my Marauder needed new feed lips of the bat, then had a break in period, but the 2nd one I got (2nd gen too) was good from the get go.
I have had mine for over a year.. i still cant load more than about 10 round.. any more than that and it F$%Ks up
