Pimped SR-22R's

AWOL: Haha ya, was pretty funny.

Deegee, calm down and take a pill kid. I asked you an honest answer, wasn't my fault I saw what I saw and questioned why.

Here are photos of mine.

I started with an SR-22 I purchased of of the EE. It came with a Tasco 3-9 scope and a Butler Creek mag. I do not care for the flash hider, so this was perfect and came at a great price.
I added a short section of Magpul rail and the AFG up front.
Next, I changed out the optics for the Bushnell. I like the option to change reticles and from red to green.
Moving to the back, I added the Magpul ASAP sling adaptor, with a 5.11 Tactical sling connected to it.
A couple weeks ago, I picked up a Magpul ACS-L. I like the wider profile and no more rattling.
The only internal upgrade is the addition of a Volquartsen recoil buffer.

See one you've seen them all, but here's my SR22. Finally got the aimpoint and CTR in today. Love that the buttstock no longer rattles, need every inch of LOP I can get(6'4" with lanky arms), so I got the thick buttpad. Keeping my eyes out for some rail ladders, don't think I want covers. Will probably leave it without a flash hider, don't see a need for one other then aesthetics. The thread protector adds a nice touch to the barrel IMO. Option is there at least for the future.

My little project I have been working on. Finally decided to figure out how to post pictures (yeah not that hard) thought I'd give back to this thread that inspired my build.

Some great builds guys!! I just finally found my own SR-22 and will working to post up some pics in a bit.

I love the fake AR mags and can't seem to find them anywhere right now... Langfordbc, can you help me out?

Here's mine, (Thanks again Sniper762) Already have a few add on's in mind.

Just picked it up before taking the GF out plinking and had to test it out so I slapped on a buddies cheapo Tasco red dot and off we went!

But here's how it sits now,

To the guys with the folding magpul back up sights, Do you find they sit a little low? I only ask cause I want a set, but I surely noticed how low the red dot sat and I really
had to jam my face down on the stock to get a good picture.

I too found my red dot (bushnell Trs-125) to sit low. I then threw on a set of magpul mbus sights for the tactical look, and they sat at a comfortable height and gave me a good sight picture; the only problem was I had to remove the red dot because they didn't cowitness -- the red dot was too low. Solution, I threw on a 1/2" riser and everything instantly became comfortable to use and was aligned.

I had the same issue with a red dot, it sat wayyy too low for comfort. So I got some MBUS sights and now everything is comfortable

You use the MBUS sites frequently? how were they to zero? easy? PITA? i just ask cause ive never had a set or even used them on anything.

I'm no expert on them, but out of the box they shot a foot high at 25 yards, so I had to crank them wayyyyy up to compensate. To be honest i'd go with better iron sights if you want to use BUIS.

EDIT: guess my 3/16 hex key was a bit off. Used a flat head. Worked fine. Now to fire some rounds to blow off steam.

I bought this off Targetguy, it's the same rifle as in his post above! I wasn't too hot on the tan parts, so I switched them out for black. Changed out the facory grip for a nice Magpul one and have an AFG coming and am on the wait list for the battledyne magazines as well. Above it is my Mossberg 500.
