Thanks for the ref. Just noticed this reference ...

Any idea what caliber this pistol is?

Looks like a nice piece but somebody must have sanded it down at one point. You can get reloading equipment from H-C in France, just google the name.

Thanks for the lead :)

There is still quite a bit of nickle on the barrel and the cylinder stampings are quite legible, but the proofs are shallow

The cylinder is not recessed--is that what you are asking?

I think what is being asked is there appears to be a gap between the back of the cylinder and the recoil shield. That gap is not normally found in pinfire guns but is the space for the rim of a centerfire or a rimfire cartridge. This gun apparently is a combination pinfire and centerfire gun and you might need some special provision for pinfire shells depending on how wide the gap is. The pin notches seem fairly shallow front to back so perhaps there is no problem

well if a cartridge that fits is found then it would be easier to make pinfire brass

"gap between the back of the cylinder and the recoil shield"

Gap=.060
Pin slot=.080

She indexes nice and functions in both single and double action
The center fire pin is missing and it appeared to have threaded in

Great help and information

thanks again
