Pinned Enfields Back in Stock. Very Limited Supply.

Are these legal to display without a trigger lock or the bolt/firing pin removed or does the RCMP not count a pinned chamber as inoperable?

The regs:
Display of Non-Restricted Firearms
8 An individual may display a non-restricted firearm only if it

(a) is unloaded;

(b) is rendered inoperable by means of a secure locking device or is in a container, receptacle or room that is kept securely locked and that is constructed so that it cannot readily be broken open or into; and

(c) is not displayed with and is not readily accessible to ammunition that can be discharged from it.

Inoperable by Secure locking device, or in a container, receptacle, or room.

I see no mention of pinned.

Also, bolt removed is a storage thing, not display.

I have seen a couple with the paint removed. The wood under the paint is a much lighter colour than the main part of the stock. Not hard to remove but a colour difference will show. Staining or dieing will help but can still be seen. Refinishing the whole stock is the best option if the wood is to be used to desporterize another rifle which will help with the colour.

These aren’t deactivated to current government standards so still considered a firearm. I know it sounds stupid with the chamber being pin.

but when were these pinned? they just need to meet the requirements when it was done, not the current ones. c@ck and click deacts were legal to make not that long ago.

You still need to produce your PAL to buy them. Any that is sold by a store must meet current government deactivated standards. They don’t. Sucks but way it is.
