Pinning magazine - distance?

Can someone measure their magazine and tell me at what distance (mm) I have to place a rivet to pin a regular military mag for AR-15 (aka M-16) and M-14? In other words, the distance from the top of the mag to the center of the pin/rivet.

I understand, it may not work 100%, but at least it would provide some guidance. If you have other mags, post it here too.

I never rely one measurement when pinning mags... I load the mag with the maximum number of shells and work it out from there...

It a long. long time ago since I have had to pin the above mags, but if I recall some can not be pinned through the side or back as they will be too tight to fit the mag well. If you have issue them limit the mag with a wooden block inside the mag and close the bottem off with a pot-rivet.
