So my G17 was part of the RSA recall. Called them up in early JANUARY, took all the info and what not- told me I'd take 6-8 weeks. (2 months)
Haven't received anything from them, not even a confirmation saying "Yes, your new RSA is en route"
What the hell! Should I give them more time? Should I call them and ride their ass?

While I'm at it- what's the phone number to call??
 
I sent an e-mail to the RSA program. I didn't get any confirmation e-mail, no one sent a single thing. My pistol didn't have any issues and was shooting just fine. 2-3 months later I received an envelope with the new RSA in it. I had forgotten about it and didn't really care since I didn't have any issues.

I'm betting you'll get it any day now if it's been a couple months.

As part of the company’s commitment to perfection, we are voluntarily exchanging the existing RSA in order to ensure our products perform up to GLOCK’s stringent standards.

GLOCK is replacing the RSA in all Gen4s sold before July 22, 2011 at no cost. Please complete the following procedure to receive a new RSA. The RSA can safely and simply be swapped out using normal field stripping protocols. If you have additional questions, please contact GLOCK at 1-877-745-8523 with your serial number and model number.

Sound like they are trying to get a jump of IF your glock could have a problem, IF it has no issues shut your trap and shoot it

I received mine in 6 days from calling to my door step. Not even work days, literally under week. Even got a free cr@ppy Glock pen to go with.
I would call again. I forget number but it's a Smyrna, Ga number. Should be on their website.

BTW- mine runs fine with either spring. The drama of your title is a bit much if yours is working.
 
same boat... also haven't received and I called in January.

Oh well. I will just have to buy a few of the new ones when I get around to it.
 
How many that are actually waiting for this part actually have a problem, or is this just knee jerk reaction action here?

I agree. I'm thinking many have no issues but think they will have if they don't have the a new RSA in their gun. I say shoot the f*ckers and see what happens. If it runs, go with it.

Why wait 2 months for them to contact you...you should be on them right away for a confirmation then once per week or every two weeks once the time lapses
 
Didn't have any major issues the last time I shot it, just some funny ejections. (IE: Literally landing on my arm one shot, 5 feet away the next, 1 foot way, etc.)

Maybe I'll just forget about it...

But know that I think of it- when I contacted Glock initially, I told them that I'm located in Canada, and I was told that Police Ordance is taking care of the distribution of the Glock RSAs. Distibution problem maybe?
 
I'm still waiting from sometime in January. Everyday I come home and think it wi
ll be sitting in my mailbox. Mine is working well though, a few erratic ejections but running pretty slick.
