Pissing in the woods!

My first dive master favorite saying was: "There are two types of scuba divers: those, who peeing in the wetsuit and those who lying about it".

I wouldn't worry about pissing in the woods however sitting in your treestand and watching your iPhone that would spook game more than some piss.

But wait,
There’s a huge variety of products available to mask your scent.
Detergents, sprays, even special clothing!!

Is that all just marketing!?
Apparently my tone was not sarcastic enough.

I have always felt that deer rely on three things (scent, sight, and sound) to avoid me and if I give them any two at once they are gone.

I don't mask my scent with anything or use detergents or special fabrics but I do hunt the wind. sometimes.

I was discussing this very topic about 25 or 30 years ago with a cousin of mine, after I told him about making a mock scrape on a tree farm and the same night having it tore right up by deer.
He told told me he chews Copenhagen in his stand and had no problem shooting buck right on top of where he peed and spit LOL.
We both agreed that you can try and do whatever you want , masking your scent is not going to happen.

Not only I piss in the wood, but I take dump too and I cook and have a fire, cause when we go moose hunting we are out at least for 3-4 days up to 10 days… that’s a long time to hold it…

Yup, thermos of coffee , sandwiches, snacks.

6am to roughly 5pm is a long day in the stand without food or drink.

Scent-free products are the biggest scam of the hunting industry. The wind is the only scent-free product you need. If they can smell your pee, which they don't care about, they can smell you. Piss away.

I did a test once .... I set up a trail camera over a big buck scrape and I peed into that scape on several occasions.
The result was that it even attracted the bucks .... they went more wildly at that scrape ... and the frequency increased.

My conclusion: human pee is an attractant for bucks and not a deterrent!!
