I was going to get a Sig P239 TAC until I found out about the increase in price. After chatting with a fellow at P&D we discussed how that gun didn't really offer me any advantage over my 3 preferred 9mm (HK P2000, HK P7M8, 1911 9mm CCO).

I have a penchant for matched pairs so I called up Wolverines and found out their stock P2000LEM was at a lower price than what I paid in DEC/2007. They said this price was only for current stock. It was also much lower than the price of the SIG P239 TAC.

So now I have a matched pair of P2000's!!!

Check stores for current stock prices and buy before the new stock inflates a $100 or 2!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree. The P239 really offers nothing over a P2000 although it does look like a nice little gun. I see that some companies i.e. Questar are pretty quick to raise their prices as soon as the Canadian dollar looses value. I wonder have quick they will be to lower the prices when the dollar rebounds? (The Cdn. dollar could rise just as quickly as it went down.) I bet not too quick. Then they'll use the excuse that they bought the inventory when the dollar was low. You just can't win. It's nice to see that most of the retailers haven't raised their prices yet. They will get my business.

I just bought one from Wolverine today. Got the .40 S & W with LEM and night sights. I have the 9 mm SA/DA version as well. Love the gun and love Wolverine's prices.

Just checking some stats. The LEM V1 is about 20N (4.5lbs), the SA on DA/SA V3 is 20N (4.5lbs). Like I've said before, the V1 LEM is like a Single action gun with a bit of longer takeup. For my hands anyway, much preferable than the DA/SA.
