Pistol Barrel stuck on locking block

Long story short, came back from the range, cleaned gun ( girsan MC 28 ) , put back together, forgot to put in the recoil spring, and now the feed ramp is stuck on the locking block with no hope of getting out.

I'm an idiot. I'm aware.

I've tried :
1.) Smacking the slide forward / backward
2.) wiggling the barrel
3.) prying the barrel up through the ejection port
4.) doing any combination of these things while holding the trigger
5.) taking out the locking block pins and striker assembly pins to try and lift the entire thing out of the plastic frame

No Bueno on anything. Any ideas? Just suck it up and take it to a gunsmith? This thing is just a practice pistol, I don't care too much about its looks if there are a couple of scratches on it to get it back into working order.

If I take it to a gunsmith do I need a separate ATT? paperwork?

Thanks.

So the barrel is jammed in the slide and there's nothing to make it go forward... Put the muzzle down on a wood block and use a nylon hammer on the back of the slide. If the mag is out, there should be nothing to lock it and strike the back end of the slide. You haven't hit it hard enough. NYLON hammer...The barrel and slide are just swagged together.

So barrel on solid item , smack back of slide with a mallet or something like that?
I'll pick up a mallet on the morrow and get to it.

I'll put the pins back in first.

Can you move or take out the takedown lever ?
Perhaps it is jamming up the locking block inside ??

I can move it to the lock and unlocked position, but trying to remove it by pulling it out seems to be a no-go, Either its seized as well or its not supposed to come out.

It is supposed to come out with a bit of jiggling around but that may be only when the slide is off the pistol.
I will check mine later and report back.
I see in one of your replies that you mention putting the pins back in. If they are out,
make sure that the all the holes line up. Perhaps an inner part is slightly out of place.

Managed to take out one more pin that I missed earlier; took out the slide with locking block. Barrel is still stuck in there, but its easier to access now.

The locking block is supposed to stay in the frame held by pins. It has on top guide rails
for the slide to ride on.
I am assuming that when you put the slide on without the recoil guide rod & spring it allowed
the rails on the block to go too far & jam into the slide.
Perhaps tapping the block straight back toward the rear of the slide will allow it to come out.
Here is a link to taking apart an M&P. Same pistol except for the sear.

Will do, I'll report back in an hour or so. I'll tap it with medium/light hammer strikes to the back of the slide.

New Update:

The barrel is unstuck. your idea worked! A few smacks on the locking block, and a few more smacks on barrel and its out.

Currently, I'm trying to reassemble it, the first time I've ever completely disassembled a pistol and right now I'm watching that video and more on how to put it back together again.

This is as far as you should go until you are very familiar with your pistol.

Finally put it back together!

That was quite an ordeal, but on the bright side I did learn a lot more about the internal mechanics of a pistol then I would have otherwise.
