Pistol Classes at PCFGA. Update: very sad news. See Post 175

Just a few days to go and there is space still available.

For those of you coming to class Sat/Sun, be advised that lunch will be provided Saturday.

Got a room booked with two queen beds from the 1st to the morning of the 5th at the Pomeroy in Grimshaw. if anybody needs a place to stay let me know, we can split the cost for each night you stay.

Sorry I'm not a pistol guy and don't get to hang with Steve and the gang. But I get 5 days of OT instead Yehaaaaa. Have Fun Guys.

Guys,

Paul has run into travel difficulties and will be unable to make it for these classes.

When I have more information I will pass it on.

Steve

Edit: There are, obviously, a large number of us in town for the classes. We will keep the range rented for at least Saturday and get together at 9am for a day of shooting.

Are you serious? Took vacation time for this. Will we recieve official notification regarding this cause I need to cancel hotel rooms.

Unfortunately, yes, I am serious.

I've got folks from as far away as Vancouver and Calgary at my house right now.

Be assured, the classes are not happening. I wish I had more to tell you right now but I have no more information.

Everyone in town for class are going to shoot tomorrow if you want to come and join us.

Oh man does that suck! I've been nut-hugging this thread just to see some pics or video of the action. I really wanted to go to this but I had way too much going on this month and way too much money going out on other things.

Yep, its a ####ty deal all around, but like any f@ckup like this, it says the most about how the situation is handled. Steveo and Greg went over and above to salvage all they could from the day and offer those of us that travelled there, a good day of shooting. I want to thank them for that and look forward to seeing everyone there again in the future.

Alex

Steve and Greg were awesome, thanks for good day of shooting to everybody who was there!

For those who had registered for these classes, I have some bad news.

It's deeply saddens me to relay the news that Paul Gomez has passed away. At this time it appears to be related to his diabetes.

I considered Paul a friend and he was a bottomless source of knowledge and skills. He will be missed. It was an honour to be a student of his.

My family's thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

RIP Paul Gomez, a quote I posted about Paul after taking "Fighting Pistol" in Peace River...

Paul, the human tactical dictionary, Whenever a Case Study, Law or anything pertaining to any weapon worldwide was needed Paul was there to quote the statistics and relevant information. Paul brought to the course the “roundness” it needed to create a true learning environment for the mindset portion of the class, able to provide information at the tip of a hat and really made the lecture part of this course interesting.

I learned more around the campfire in 2 hours talking and listening with Paul then I have learned my whole life...

He will be Missed.
