Pistol for a small womans hands.

In NH, i bought at my LGS a G26 for miss caramel. It have become my favorite Glock of all. I shot almost every Glock made, (i bought a bunch that have become paper weights ) Lol
 
I am a petite lady, and through much experimenting found that the CZ P10 series, whether the P10C, P10SC (my favourite!) or P10F to be the best for someone with smaller hands. The trigger is really good and recoil easy to manage. I have also own the CZ75/85 and found that these work well (all steel and not as heavy as a Shadow 2) with thin aluminum grips.

The smaller the gun, the more vicious the recoil pulse( lighter slide and stiffer recoil spring). A super big but here, for a strong hand over a certain strength level, it is just "harder" but the perceived difference is minimal. A good analogy will be that if you can lift 100 lb, 105 lb probably won't be much of a difference to you because it is only 5% more. But if you can only lift 50 lb 5 lb is 10% more. For someone with a grip strength that is just enough to handle a full size, any more incremental increase in difficulty means way more proportional to his/her ability. Get a grip strength measuring tool, you maybe cracking at 45kg, but she might be barely getting to 30Kg - you are 50% over her. Your 10% incremental change = 15% to her, your 20% incremental change is 30% to her. Performance is not linear. As "load" and "recoil" increase, difficulty increases at a faster rate and at one point it just goes rocket up - means complete failure in performance.

This is like buying any sporting equipment - skii, racquets, boards, bikes. It needs to go with size, strength, purpose and skill level. Right now, we have a lot of talking on size - but very little discussion on the other 3 factors.

I also agree with the scaled down Browning 1911-22/380... a (!)-hair away from being too small for my hands so it would fit a woman beautifully. I suspect it isnt a carry gun so no use going for the 9mm if she is looking for a comfortable shoot

glock 17 (has adjustable back straps - think mine is the gen3)
charter arms 38special revolver (wife got one in lavender)
colt woodsman in 22lr
ruger mk II 22lr

good luck finding something, getting pretty scare out there now...

They aren’t available in 9mm , just .380 and .22 .
