Hi everyone. I'm a gun n00b and I've recently acquired a P30L as my first pistol.
I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, and I'm just going through the process of disassembling and assembling the pistol to see how it works. When I was pushing the slide back onto the frame however, I was using too much force initially while it is not completely aligned and that seemed to have stripped the middle and rear guide strips on the frame:

I guess that's what happens when you ram a chunk of metal against a little piece of polymer. I'm a little sad that I'm starting to destroy my pistol already before I even get to shoot it, but I was wondering if this is going to pose a safety concern down the road? Any comments would be appreciated, thanks!
