Hey guys,

I'm looking at buying a target setup for plinking at the range with my pistols.

Wholesale and Russells sell a little 4 target .22 setup like this:
www.birchwoodcasey.com/sport/target_index.asp?categoryID=4&subcat=13

I'm pretty sure they won't stand up to 9mm and .40, but wondering if they could be reinforced with thicker plate?

Does anyone here have a similar setup?

I know BirchwoodCasey sells ones for handguns (on the same page), but can't find a source in Canada.

Any suggestions on reinforcing or alternatives would be GREAT!

I have that target and while it works fine with .22rf I wouldn't dream of shooting it with ANY centrefire firearm.

I think that Birchwood Casey makes a centrefire pistol swing disk. Either Wholesale or Lebaron sells them for about $40. I'd go for something like this.

I just made a couple of swinging targets that work great. I should take and post some pics, easy to do.Made a gong for my 375 at 300 meters out of 1/2"plate that worked well but my 25-06 mucked it up a bit. Quite a bit of fun seeing things swing and clang when you hit them.
