Hey CGNers,

I'm looking for the replacement for my current pistol grip on my ar. I want something with a rubber grip or something that can receive rubber sleeve. I'm not really sure what is good and bad as I have not read many reviews but figured I'd ask here first and see what you guys had to say.

Cheers,

M

I have had a Magpul moe with grip, umbrella corp and a BCM gunfighters mod 1. All three were great and all were basically the same price. I change them once in a while, I have the BCM on right now.

The Ergo Original Suregrip are nice. I picked up the Magpul MOE , its also rubber wrapped and has storage in the handle. Great for extra EoTech batteries :)

I was curious about the umbrella corp grip, huge fan of the resident evil franchise lol but I didn't like the look of it ( not really like that matters more than it actually functioning ).

The Magpul MOE was one I was looking at but wasn't sure if the grip was rubber or not.

Thanks so far guys.

M

The plain-Jane MOE is not the rubberized one. That would be the MOE+. The Umbrella Corp grip I bought and tried briefly. The grip is more vertical and imparts less stress on the wrist but the negatives are that is it lacking any kind of grippy texture and no storage space. I recently picked up the new Magpul MOE K2 grip. It is more vertical, just like the Umbrella Corp grip, has a nice aggressive texture and has storage space. I find that it feels a little thinner than the MOE grip but that could just be my imagination.

Im leaning towards the MOE+ right now, I like the idea of the Umbrella Corp though as I have had wrist surgery a while back. Maybe ill just have to get both.

I quite like the Hogue rubber grip. I've got one for my AR and Rem700.

Just ordered the MOE+ along with a Noveske KX3 from Questar 20% discount! Stoked. Probably end up picking up an Umbrella Corp grip soon to just to try it. Thanks for the input fellas.

Have fun with the "flaming pig" they are awesome.

Thanks!.

I was debating between the KX3 and the Battlecomp 1.0/2.0. I went with the KX3 because from reading reviews it does what I want it to for range plinking. I may pick up a BC later in the spring if I start attempting some shooting competitions.

I don't have an AR (yet) so I can't really comment on this but you might want to take a look at the Fab Defense rubberized pistol grip. From what I can tell it's the same shape as their Vz 58 pistol grip which I've found to be quite comfortable. Not sure if the grip angle is any different though.

I'm looking for a rubberized and beefier pistol grip for my 3 AR platform rifles (JRC/TDC/S&W AR15)... willing to buy 1 or 2 different ones to try them out. I've been reading that the Hogue rubber grip may need to be shaved for certain rifles???

Also want a foregrip & stock but the mil-spec/non mil-spec/carbine/buffer tube specs have really thrown me for a loop. Have never swapped out furniture for the AR15 platform so I must admit, a little confused. I don't want to buy the wrong stuff.

I have the FAB one for my CZ858 and I like it for that rifle but I feel like its to cheap for an AR lol.
