Greetings,

Over the weekend my fiancee decided it was time for some early Christmas presents and one of them was a Stevens 350 Security (the other was a Jericho in 9mm). I of course was VERY HAPPY and when I got it home I lovingly played with it while watching zombie movies and then learned how to disassemble it. I like the plain jane looks of the stock and finish. Matte black and I have always been friends. But as always, I get a new toy and I want to start changing it.

Does anyone know of any sponsoring dealers that carry replacement stocks for the Stevens 350 (basically a Chinese made Ithaca 37)? I want a full stock with a pistol grip. Barring that, any Canadian dealers for Choate as I hate ordering from the states.

I will post pics soon. I will be tacti-cooling the hell out of this thing as time goes by because I want to. Mostly practical tacti-cool, but I may throw the occasional fancy but useless toy on it from time to time.

When I actually get to the range to use it I will give an updated report, but as it stands right now, it seems smooth and feeds some raggedy old paper hull shells I had lying around for reload practice in a SXS in my Cowboy Shooting days. If it can feed and eject these sorry excuses for 12ga hulls, I am sure it can handle everything.

I will also be sighting it in with rifled slugs at a 100yds using the ghost ring sights so I will try and give a detailed report on that as well. When I go out with my brother and law next year for bambi hunting, this will be my gun of choice. Don't expect anything too detailed though, as I have never sighted in anything in an official manner.

With Greatest Respect,

Matt

I can see why you proposed to her, that is awesome! I'm planning on trying a boatload of slugs through my Supernova and doing the same thing. Remember to try all the brands as each shotgun will have a preference. Very few shoot every brand well. I'm looking forward to hearing how your Stevens does, I think they are a sweet deal if theyre tough and reliable.
