Pistol Jam, is it the magazine or is it the gun itself?

Hi, fellow gunnutz, I'm having issue with my Para Ordnance 1911 .45 ACP. It jam's when I put 6 or more rounds in the magazine while when I just put 5 rounds everything works perfectly fine. Last night I did inspect it and tried putting 7 rounds and again it keeps on jamming, I have one round where the bullet got pushed in. Is there anyone here that can tell me if my magazine or my pistol is defective. Or, shall I see a gunsmith instead. Thanks for everyone who will pay attention to this one.

While in the wrong place I will answer your question.

If it does not jam while using another mag = mag problem
If it jams with any mag = gun problem

I found the problem when you said para.....
Have you tried different mags? That would be the first step dont go to a smith for that unless your pissing out money.

I have to agree with shawn on his orginal
quote. If I were you I would change the mag
first might save you a boat load of cash to the
gunsmith. I own a Para made in Canada P13-45
and I do have a 10 rnd mag in it and it works fine.

Thank you all for your reply, and I apologized for posting it here. I have 3 different mags, first is the original Para mags that comes with it, second is the smith and wesson and last is Dlask mags. At first I thought its all about the pistol but, when I just put 5 rounds in each mags they seem to work fine, except for some occasion. Thanks.
