Pistol light choice

how do you compare the inforce with the others. i was impressed by the inforce on my walls and so far not blinded.

The Surefire is by far the most solidly built but it also has the lowest lumens. This one has been running strong for about 10 years with no issues and has seen quite a bit of abuse. The Streamlight is the brightest and is solid as far as build goes, except for the switch. The UI is good but the switch is not as robust as it should be. The Inforce is probably my favorite as far a the UI and the form factor. The 400lm is perfect I just wish it was made from aluminum. I have a few of them and it will most likely be on the P320 once I can get a Safariland RDS +Light holster. Right now the P320 wears the TLR1 because the only RDS/ light holster I could find was the TRex for the TLR1.

I have had a few of the Olights pass through my hands and I haven't kept them around. I don't like the QD lever on them, I find a few of the features gimmicky and unnecessary and I dislike the lack of holster availability for guns with Olights. YMMV

There is situations where there is such a thing as "too much lumens". 800lumens in a house can work against the defender by blinding him.

Too much lumen can also wash out your red dot which is no bueno. I don't like to run the Red dots too bright as it can create a "starburst" effect. The 400 of the Inforce is the goldilocks.

Yup, your house you know...

indoor use, defensive carry, I like 200 lumen.

I have lights up to 1000, but in most cases they are way too powerful.
