Pistol Light

Id look at the Inforce APL. Its what I am going to put on my G19. I feel it fits the slide shape well and I like the double toggle switch.
Price point is not to bad too at $170 from Rampart.

Specs are great too. Lots of X300 vs APL on the web.

I agree with scotty, I have a couple inforce lights and several of other brands. Inforce definitely worth the money and Ramparts service is quick.

I am looking for a light for my glock 19. Should I get a TLR-1 or a X300 Ultra.

Is the surefire, really worth the $150 price increase?

I had a TLR1 and a few X300 ultras, and the surefires are way brighter.

I also like how they just click on the rail, you just pull down tabs on each side, you don't need to tighten a screw on the side, they just slide right on with ease and are attached really well.

I have the TRL-1 HL, much improved over the origional TLR-1 (650lumens vs 160, 500 for the Surefire Ultra), double toggle switch with 3 modes - constant on, strobe, and short burst) pops on and off in seconds too with a thumb screw tightener.

I have 2 Inforce APL's and the work great. They are also incredibly lightweight and have never failed me. Although I do plan on buying a surefire XC1 , I will report back when I do , this new surefire offering does have me excited.

I had a Surefire couldn't use it unless my eyes had time to adjust. To wake from sleep in a dark house, even the hotspot it cast on a painted wall was like looking at the sun. I bought a TLR-1s and did some comparisons through different levels of readiness and ambient light. Every situation, The Streamlight was more than adequate, even outside up to 40-50 yards was very doable.

I have a couple of TLR-1s lights that are awesome, highly recommend them. They are more than bright enough to illuminate a dark house. You don't need 500 lumens to do that. One of the lights has seen more than a thousand rounds (prob closer to 2 thousand) of 40 cal with no issues.

The idea is to blind a intruder as well, which 500 lumens does quite well.

In a dark house, 150 lumen aimed directly in your face is just as blinding as 500 lumen is.

Agreed it sure will, but so will 500 lol. So its all preference. I got rid of my weapons lights and have a Surefire E2D Defender Ultra. Best flashlight i ever owned. I dont plan on having to clear any buildings anytime soon so didnt really need a weapons light anymore.
