Need advice?? I am thinking of getting a 9mm pistol, a lower priced new pistol. I was thinking of a sd9ve by s and w, but the mags are 55 bucks in Canada. This is crazy don t you think. I am almost thinking of getting a norinco 9mm np29, or one of the sig clones. I just want a half decent looking gun, and something I will enjoy shooting. What pistols have the cheapest mags?? thanks:runaway:

You may be better off buying a M&P range kit off the EE . There was a slightly used one on there yesterday with 50 rnds through it and comes with a holster, mag pouch and 4 mags. $550 ,I think. I've seen them for $450. I got mine off the EE and it had a 1000 or so through it and it works and looks new.

M&P range kit. mags are $40+tax each. either the MP9, or MP40 is better because you have the option to get the 9mm and 357 conversion barrels down the road to shoot different calibers with much lower cost. with 357, you don't even need to buy extra mags as it's the same as .40S&W. for 9mm, it's recommended to by 9mm mags, but there are people using .40S&W mags with success. you have to decide for yourself. I have the mp40 kit and love it. got the 9mm barrel and will get 357 barrel when the time is right.
you can see how well the mp40 can shoot in some of my posts with pictures, and I am a 4-month newbie.

I would steer away from the SDVE9...Go for the M&P...it hurts the wallet a bit more up front but you'll enjoy it more...and more options for upgrades / accessories.
