Pistol Mag Question

I've noticed that pretty much every pistol mag I've seen has been limited to 10 rounds by chopping it short and sticking a shoddy plastic end-piece to it.
This seems very Bubba-ish to me, in addition to being not durable (I've had 2 come apart when I accidentally dropped them on the ground).

Are there any pistols whose mags are limited in a more "elegant" manner, like riveting, much like most rifle/carbine mags?

My Mec-Gar NP-28 (SIG 229 clone) mags have an internal metal tab that sticks up off the inside base plate to limit the follower travel. It is essentially a 10/13 mag. I have one SIG 10 rounder that has the long plastic base plate as you describe and it is harder to load than the 10/13 versions.

Shop around theres lots of actual factory mags from the US that are 10 rounders after their short lived ban, plus some states have these laws. Not all the mags are modified, I have a a duffle bag full of 10 round USP mags, all factory.

Thank California, for the continued production of 10 round Mags  If it's a company that currently sells new guns in Cali, than there is factory 10 rounders available. Of course, there's always companies that just give Cali the shaft (Hello, Springfield XDM), and don't bother trying to comply with laws more restrictive and arcane than ours.
