Pistol magazine base pads/bumpers

My Fusion magazines with baseplates are back-ordered so I may need to use some regular mags with my mag-well equipped 1911 for an event next week. I have some extra Kimber hard plastic bumper pads and I'm wondering if I can glue/epoxy them to a few of the regular metal mecgar mags a sa temp solution.

Of course if there's a better idea I'm all ears.

Any thick bit of rubber will do. So will the Kimber pads if they fit the mag. Epoxy is your friend.
