Pistol pics thread post em all!

Nice. I ordered one before the freeze. How do you like it and does the Apex trigger upgrade make much of a difference. Looking forward to getting mine. I also bought a Walther PDP 4.5
I don’t own this pistol any more but I found the Apex to be a worthwhile upgrade. Mine originally had the old-style trigger and was pretty good on its own.

My brand new, never fired Glock 17 Gen4 patiently waiting for its registration certificate. In the mean time, I’ve added a SureFire X300 and a Strike Industries Mass Driver comp.

**EDIT; the registration certificate arrived on Friday so it's going to the range tomorrow.

My Beretta 92s transfer went through today (almost 5 months)!
She was so dry, so I took her apart, applied Lucas gun oil, changed the grips, and now she's ready! (I wiped off the excess oil!)

I like your photo work. Any chance you could show us your light box set up? And maybe some tips?

Thanx.
Thanks for the kind words, koldt. I used to use a home-made light box made out an old laundry basket and some desk lamps and while that worked OK it was a bit of a pain to set up. For the last few years I've taken most of my pictures just out on my back deck. I wait for a day with a high overcast sky—lots of light but no shadows—and I use a piece of while Bristol board for the background. I overexpose a bit and I always use a tripod with the delayed shutter release. I usually don't do a lot of editing afterwards, usually just changing the brightness and contrast to make the whites brighter and darks a little deeper, increasing the sharpness and maybe editing out dust and scratches (not for my EE pix, though—they show everything, blemishes and all :) ). Now and then for stainless guns or nicely blued I will use my daughter's piano bench as the backdrop (like the Python and B76 pics below).

I also see I've fallen behind in my posting—here's what I picked up in the run-up to last October.
