Pistol registration

I just got a new pistol, delivered last week. In the case is the approval of transfer from the gun store to me. I have not received the registration certificate that shows up by itself from the RCMP yet. Will the approval of transfer paper that came in the case (also from the RCMP) work to allow me to take the pistol to the range this weekend? I've always received the registration certificate almost the same time that I have received the pistol in the past.

If I were in your shoes, I would wait for the registration certificate. YMMV.

The actual certificate is what you need to wait for. And then make a copy of it and leave it in the case.
