Pistol skills lacking

I want to learn more and am looking for coaching, but seems hard to find in some areas. I belong to the biggest gun club in my area and there aren't any posters on the club bulletin board or on the clubs website about basic coaching. It's all advanced IPSC coaching or black badge. I'd like more fundamental knowledge before doing a black badge.
Ask the people offering IPSC courses/BB about doing a private session on the fundamentals. I think you’ll find what you’re looking for. Good luck!

Get a CZ Shadow, learn on that, it's much easier, you'll progress much faster and be happier. Can always go back to the glock once you can shoot.

That’s like saying don’t take drivers lessons, just get a bmw it’s a better car than a cavalier. Still doesn’t mean the driver knows how to operate the vehicle any better.

Yeah don't worry about gun choice right now, I mean, get a CZ if you like, or stick with the Glock, nothing wrong with that.
For those in Manitoba talk to Fast Toys (Phil Reddy) I'm sure he can hook you up with some instruction.
In Ontario look to Earl Green, Alex S (IPSC Alex), Rob Elliot.
In the lower mainland of BC, me and many others, Murray Gardner, Randy Fisher

I never had any training, Just shot informal, But I wish 50yrs ago I would have,
The gun will make a difference, young fellow bought one of those 350.oo s-w sv9 or what ever, what a sad trigger that is, gun runs fine, But in 50yrs , it is a disgrace.
No one could shoot that gun properly, but after some coaching , he was hitting the paper.

I’ve chatted with Phil a little bit on facebook, I don’t think they have a physical store front, i’ll Have to do some googling.

A shot gun pattern is fair common to start with.
These days there are videos to watch, when I started , lucky sight to have power, Trigger control and grip ,sight picture are important.
there are lots of good/ great shooters in Sk. I am not one of them, LOL, But I get by.

I have stepped my game up quite a bit and it was because of the shooting tips videos by the competition shooters.

1)proper grip
2) trigger control
3) alot of ammo
4) patience. Load 5 instead of 10. Take your time.

Best upgraded drop in glock trigger won't help you if your jerking the trigger and anticipating recoil. I used to do it all the time. I pull the muzzle down before the shot. Practice dry firing and the penny trick on the end of muzzle.

Watch the tips and practice. You will see major approvements and over time get to where you would like to be. If you aren't there still. Pay a coach for a few lessons.

Trust me. I was 10 times worse of a shot than you where. I am still not an elite shooter but with every visit i see improvements.

Kobe didnt get 5 rings by natural gifts....lol He has a crazy work ethic.

Sunjeep24, that is what the fellow was doing, jerking the trigger and you could see the gun drop as he pulled.
Some are better, a young lady was at the range with her husband, she had shot rifle, never a handgun, So I showed her the basics
on my tuned up SW 19 38 sp light loads and she shot a hell of a good group, about 15 yrs and the group was about 1 1/2" -2 inch. Nice to see.
