Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to receive your advice on the value of my pistols that I'd like to sell, simply to get a solid starting point and idea of their current worth. Any other advice is also welcomed of course. Here is a link to some photos. I've included the same picture in this post but the preview seems to show one cannot scroll to the right where it's being cut off.

The CZ 9mm Combat and 22LR Kadet had competition triggers added to them. I have extra mags for them all, except for the Sig .22. I have the wooden grips still for the Sig Elite .40. My dad gave me the Sigs, so I don't have boxes for them but I have them for the CZ's. I'm wanting to ultimately go for the Shadow 2 and a Kadet Adaptor too for it, basically just to have one pistol.

If I was to sell them, I'm struggling with doing so privately or doing so through a gun store. I'd use Proline, most likely, as I've alway appreciated their business and honesty. I recommend this small Calgary gun store to anyone. They charge 20% for commission and will suggest the price to sell them at.

Any thoughts to the value of these pistols and suggestions of private vs. public selling would be most welcomed. Forgive me in advance, if I should have posted this note in the Exchange section instead. I'm new to the forum world and have a lot to learn still.

Thanks in advance everyone, even if just for reading.

Cheers,

B :d

I have an 85C in the same Nickel Satin finish, its a keeper. No longer in production, I think you can start asking $ 850 because of the upgrade.
Your CZ Kadet with the upgrade, a good $ 800. The Kadet kit alone is around $ 650. And if the buyer can find a complete uppers for a decent price, he can have 2 calibers in one gun.

I have an SP01 Shadow - Shadowline and an 85 Combat. I purchased an Antreg Zenith .22 conversion kit from a supporting dealer here. After minor adjustments, it works in both SP01 Shadow-Shadowline and 85 Combat. The only catch is, you have to use the factory (heavy) mainspring. Some misfire issues with the Shadowline since it came with lighter mainspring. But with the factory mainspring on 85 Combat, no issues. You might have to adjust the tension on the spring retaining the slide stop to have the last round hold open. Sorry, I do not have a Shadow 2 with kit to chime in.

If you are thinking of a .22 Kit for a Shadow 2, you might have to think about the upgraded mainspring specially if you are shooting competitively. You might have to install the factory mainspring to avoid misfiring issues. Or, I would suggest you keep the CZ Kadet and sell the rest. The CZ 85 Combat might get some interest since it is no longer in production. And your gun looks good, at least as posted.

As for the SIGs, maybe other CGNnutters can suggest pricing.

Safe Shooting!

SIGs go for various prices due to the different levels of upgrade on the models.

My question is why do say you struggle to sell them privately? When you sell on consignment, you are saved the hassle, but you have a smaller audience and due to the 20% fee, you will lose more. And also, if you want to recoup the 20%, your price will be higher which will also discourage savvy buyers.

Have you tried selling them here on the Equipment Exchange? I think it can be your best bet, as you reach a national audience.

Hi Ambishooter!

Thanks so much for your note. I appreciate your thoughts. I agree, the 85C is a terrific pistol indeed and I too like the finish of it. I didn't realize you could have a separate upper for the Kadet. That would be a nice feature for someone to have indeed. It appears you're a fan of CZ as well. I really appreciate how both guns feel and the weight of them. The Shadow and Shadowline you have look terrific too and would seem to be a ton of fun to shoot. The Antreg looks really great and a solid addition. I've never heard of them before. The website looks pretty good, after a quick peek. I'll check into them more simply for interest.

I am thinking of the .22 adaptor kit for the Shadow 2. I like the design of it. I plan to look into it more, however, once I sell the pistols. It's too easy to procrastinate on all this stuff sometimes. :)

Again, thanks for your note. Ambishooter.

Hi Still alive!

Thank you, to you as well, for taking the time to write. I'll have to do some more homework on the pricing on the Sig's. I've heard .40's may not be as popular these days due to the price to shoot and the extra kick. It's a solid pistol.

To answer your question, I think I have been a bit timid simply b/c of having never done so before is all. I've also been super busy, so with family and work it's been difficult to find the time and to research things. I think you're right though to sell them privately. I have the intro level for the equipment exchange forums so I'll try to set this up sooner than later. I'll get some better pictures of them as well. I also need to find out how to incorporate the shipping costs - and how to work that part into the price.

Thank you for your thoughts.
