Pistols and AR-10 are my favorites.....

Almost a year since i am involved in restricteds and i have a big idea what really like to shoot... Pistols for the mecanic of the firearm and AR-10 for the power of the 308 round combine with the incredible accuracy of the AR plattform, i am keeping 2 revolvers that i really like both S&W, PC 627-5 and Model 29 (dirty Harry)...
Caliber wise the 308 and the 45ACP are so far the top ones for me but i learned to like the 9mm and it is a great round and more pistols in that caliber will join the herd, i just pick up a Bersa Thunder Pro 9mm tonight...
The AR-15 is not my favorite, but both my SR-15 and MK18, i found a certain comfort but it trail far behind the 308, i predit no more AR-15 in my future, those 2 will suffice... JP.

A .308 AR would be nice, but I'm definitely on a DPMS budget.

I'll buy or build a few different AR15 uppers in the future, but like you I won't be buying any complete rifles.

Pistols, revolvers and AR's had a tremendous impact on my shooting habits... If i had knowned better, i would have started much earlier in life investing myself into these firearms, i am completly addicted... JP.

What type of shooting are you doing with your AR-15?

Benchrest only, in perfect conditions?

Or have you tried using them to their full potential and their intended use?

It seems to me that you're only considering the round being fired and not the platform firing the said round.

Range only, precision, fast precision shooting, no competions, just shooting among friends, sharing firearms, nothing complicated, i love shooting as a loner, my favorite in shooting ...
My KAC with 77 gr Scenars will shoot equally good to my AR-10T... UNLESS one day we see the restricted class change fo NR, they will be behind my 308...
2 or 3 times a week 4 hours shooting sessions in the nice season, fully satified me, never shoot on weekend ( range ) except at the farm with the grandkids and family at my 80 metres range ...
Only went 3 time to my Jarnac place to shoot NR's, it seem now with my new AR, pistols and revolvers, not much time left for all the lonely NR's...
The AR is a great platform and the AR-15 is awsome but if you give me the choice, i will take an AR-10..... 100% of the time... First...JP.
