but this is not about the tokarev its about a 1911 and a glock, or did you read the thread title?

I know what we're talking about here too. You made an assumtion that the 1911 probably killed more humans than anyother kind of pistol. So all I did was point out that that fact may not be true and suggested another pistol that coincidently matches your avatar:eek: I know I'm a bad boy.

And trust it when I say that if John Moses Browning had the materials and technology available to him that Gaston Glock had, the Cavalry of 1911 would have been riding with the reins in one hand and a hi-capacity .45 pistol in the other composed of a mixture of materials. Consider how early in history plastic grips appeared. If they had the abiliy to utilize materials that could be molded into any shape, never corroded, and could absorb impacts without deformimg like modern polymers do they would have.

History lesson about Earl Silas Tupper:
Using inflexible pieces of polyethylene slag given to him by DuPont, Tupper purified the slag and molded it to create lightweight, non-breakable containers, cups, bowls, plates, and even gas masks that were used in World War II. He later designed liquid-proof, airtight lids by duplicating the lid of a paint can.

Tupper founded the Tupperware Plastics Company in 1938, and in 1946, he introduced Tupper Plastics to hardware and department stores. I'm not sure but I heard that when he was buried they actually closed the lid to his coffin by finishing up by 'burping' the last corner for a good seal!

Based on the longevity of Tupperware, please feel free to continue calling polymer framed pistols Tupperware, Tupperguns etc. Tupperware and Glocks will probably be around for longer than someone will still be manufacturing 1911 pistols. See how nice I am? I purposely used the word 'probably' to leave an opening to continue this discussion!
