My 7 year old and 9 year old girls know how to handle my semi autos and can fieldstrip a G17 with a AA 22lr conversion kit. (lighter recoil spring.)
The 7 year old's muzzle control is fair. But she's NOT 100% ready to handle this type of
firearm with live ammo. But she handles it head and shoulders better then some old farts I see at gun shops.
I plan on starting them with air pistols for live fire exercises.
As a side note: They also both know how to fieldstrip an AR15. I am very proud of them.
