Pistols for the Ladies

Perhaps one of the previous posters was actually referring to the Beretta model 71 in .22 LR. That is single stack, very easy to rack and fits small hands. Mossad seemed to be keen on these in the 1970's.

I have one and it is one of my favourites. The sights are quite small, so takes a bit of getting used to, but shoots well once sorted out.

I painted the front sight orange, works great. Nice handgun will eat almost every .22 ammo you can think of.

All the guns I've gotten the lady have been mentioned in this thread already. Funny seeing her try to convince her female friends to try coming out to the range. As easy as letting them hold the smaller guns.

Just adding some bits about magazines

-g48 : I think it came with a couple of mags? I can't remember now but the mags were overall easy to find and relatively cheap

-browning 1911-22LR : only came with 1 mag, for 22 they're super expensive mags and at the time they were hard to find any stock

-Beretta 71-22LR : only came with 1 mag, again I find the mags to be really expensive and somewhat difficult to find

The Glock 48s are a bit snappy due to the weight. Maybe look into getting one ported to try to reduce the muzzle flip a bit?

I ported my competition SP-01 Shadow, and with a slower powder (I was loading Titegroup, but I switched to AutoComp) it actually helps quite a bit.

It's been pointed out before, but most of the pistols with low recoil, and of a size suitable for small hands, are banned (12-6).. The ban dates back to before the reign of the Emperor Justinian, but it's still an example of the misogynist policy of our federal government. Perhaps, in the interest of gender equality, our avowedly feminist ruler could be induced to withdraw this particular ban.
