Ok, after a few bad experiences with my current 20" DI Armalite M-15 (National Match), namely not even being able to finish a day of shooting without many jams due to dirtyness of the bolt and reciever (I have to say that the range is very dusty on a warm-dry day, so it doesn't help), I've decided to retire old (un)faithful and get myself a piston driven AR.
I'm using the rifle for Service Conditions matches and Designated Marksmen matches, form ranges going from 25 meters up to 800 meters.
Ammunition is my reloaded match ammo using 75 grains bullets (so 1-8 twist minimum, 1-7 optimal), and with my current rifle, I manage to get 6 inches groups @ 500 meters (slightly over 1 MOA), on a day without too much wind.
Now I am contemplating a PWS MK118 (already own a MK107, so I'm slightly biased), but am open to other brands that I might not know of, if you have any to suggest.
I'm looking in the below the 3000$ price range, give or take a few 100s.
What do you think?
